Graphic images of diseased lungs and rotting teeth and gums must be displayed on cigarette packets sold in New Zealand from tomorrow.

India: Milder ‘warning’ pics on cigarette packs?

NEW DELHI: The Health Ministry’s plan to make gory pictorial warnings mandatory on all tobacco products is going up in smoke.

Dead against the ministry’s originally shortlisted photographs that depict cancerous tumours, rotting teeth and diseased throats, the department of audio visual publicity under the Information and Broadcasting Ministry has now suggested three new photographs, all of them mild…
