On August 21, 2010, Honduras passed a law requiring picture-based health warnings on tobacco packages. In February 2011, the Honduras congress voted to reduce the anticipated warning size from 80% of the pack to 50% of the pack. This amendment took effect in July 2011. All tobacco products are now required to have picture-based warnings covering 50% of both the front and back of the package.
