Macau, a Special Administrative Region of China, approved regulations on May 4, 2012 requiring pictorial warnings on all tobacco packages effective January 1, 2013. Warnings must cover 50% of the front and back of packages. The warnings appear in Chinese on one side of the package, and Portuguese on the other side.
