Singapore issued regulations in 2003 that required pictorial health warnings on all cigarette packages effective August 1, 2004. Health warnings are required to cover 50% of the front and 50% of the back of all packages. A set of six warnings are rotated on cigarette packages. New sets of warnings were introduced in 2006 and 2013.
Plain packaging is under formal consideration. Singapore held a public consultation on plain packaging from December 29, 2015 – March 29, 2015.
