The Government of Suriname issued regulations on the packaging and labeling of cigarettes on December 9, 2013. Under the regulations, all cigarette packages will be required to have a health warning covering at least 50% of both the front and back of the package as of June 7, 2014. A set of 6 warnings will be rotated on packages, and will be replaced with a new set of health warnings after 18 months.
